Dream ‘Outta Of This World’ Holiday

“Brrrring.....” screamed the alarm. I tried to ignore it . I wanted to stay in my dream.
My Dream ‘Outta Of This World’ Holiday was to Saturn.

I got there on my flying dragon it took me 3 years but it felt like 3Min's . I had to use tube many times on the ride there.

WOW as leap of my dragon , both of my feet landing on the surfaces . AS a joke I said we come in peace and everyone laugh but i was the only one there. Jumping on rock to rock , seeing all the life from on Saturn.

“Hi there dear earthling” as a wired pink alien said to me. “ What are you doing on our planet ?
I’m just on a holiday . I love your planet so much , I want to live here because It’s the most spectator planet I have seen.

They only had 6 hours in there hold day so i couldn't do anything bed watch some of there sports.

There sports name was , Opps, Loops, High five, and many more.

"Time to leave" as i said to them.

For the past few weeks we have been going to a instructor to teach us how to play tennis.

There are lots of rules to play this game. Many people play this sport all over the world.

As room19 went forth to the netball courts waiting , woundering , what we were going to do today.

The imstructor (Marcelle) greeted us , we all went stright for the tennis racquet.Everyone had to pick a partener so I pick my bestfriend Jordan.

We had to do our warm up's. It was easy just hitting the ball on the ground , "I didnt even break a sweat". Then it got harder but I was up for the challenge."Hitting the ball on the racquet on its side was hard".

Tournmanet time ,Joe,Racheal,Tyler an I was on one team and on the opposite team was. Tamtai , Jordan , Unalota , april .

Gosh as I said loud. We lost our 1st match so we had to move down. Next game, wack , wack the tennis ball going up and down the netball court. Tyler and I was laughing. We won we said , but The other team was saying the won. "No we won" , No we won as the other team said to the instructor. I thought was cool and funny but I was worng. He thought we were lieing but we were't. We were so mad.

At the end of the day I was dissappointed but we had a fun day But hopfully the weather wood be good.

Different Auckland town centres have adopted Rugby teams from countries that qualified for the World Cup.

We are using the nations of the 2011 Rugby World Cup as our inquiry path.

For this unit we are in one of four teams: Brumbies, Force, Rebels, Stormers. My team is Brumbies will be a number of tasks for us to navigate to achieve our goal of an excellent result in this unit. There are a mixture of individual and team tasks to be completed. The main task that will show our learning in this unit will be a Hyperstudio presentation about one of the countries in the World Cup competition.

I'm really excited about the world cup and how much it would bring people from around the world together.

Science fiction proved wrong !

One movie I saw about flying was Iron man , it was about a super hero who wanted to fight crime and used a jet pack to fly and save a people. Glen Martian may have proved that someday we can all fly. The Kiwi engineer showed TV1 viewers how high his super fans on his Martian jet pack can go. To be careful he had to use a dummy first to test fly his jet pack to see if it was safe for him to fly.
It was a magnificent day for New Zealanders because it was the first jet pack to fly 5000ft.

“Rock Up” was my best activity at camp. There was new and exciting activities to explore. They were lots up for garbs there were chocolate and fizzes drinks and everyone wanted it. The activities I wanted to do most was the Rock Climbing.

The Dunker was a cool and refreshing activity that cool you off if someone hits the Target . Rock climbing was here and I thought that I was going to do it blind folded I wish didn't do it but it was worth 5 points so I had to do it. It was hard and it was pitch black too. I couldn't see any thing I had to yous my senses. Higher and Higher I went up the rock wall every saying left,right if that wasn't hard enough.

I made it everyone was cheering I was so happy

Warriors vs West tigers What a Game

Go the mighty Warriors I yelled I was cheering for my favorite Nrl team. The west Tiger almost getting a try. Closer and closer the West Tiger getting near the Warriors try lane. The Warriors just got rob for a try.

First try of the game went to the West Tigers just getting there but the warriors came back with the caption Simon Mannering getting the first try for his team. First half has gone pass the score is 6 all and both team need to win.

2nd half West Tigers getting try after try make it 6-12 to the West Tigers. The Warriors was letting the West Tigers run over the top of then. They need a try and they got it runny hard and fast throw the West Tigers players getting a good try.

David Tua vs Demetrice King Backyard Brawl

I couldn't wait until the main event there were many boxing matches but that made me jump up and down more. Here it was Tua vs King. Ding, ding, ding, round 1. David is picking up his speed in his punching but Demetrice King holding his ground. David and Demetrice had great hard punching, you can really see it.

David Tua won the first two rounds, but Demetrice King came back with some jabs to the head. David Tua got faster every time. They both wanted to win by KO but they both wouldn't let each other do so. Demetrice King tried to sneak in some good jabs but Davita would not give up.

WOW! great combinations by Tua, it looked like Demetrice King was going to get knocked out but some how he could take what even David could dish out.

Fun Fun Fun

Crush, Boom big wave churning on to the shore. All I see is kids running up and down jelly fish on the sand. Blue bottle jelly fish everywhere up and down the beach.

The wet sand between my toes. Waves coming closer every time bigger and lager then be for.Dive straight in a big wave smash my face right in to it.

As I was getting up from the sand I saw a blue string,so I pulled it up. its was a jellyfish I jumped up and I threw it away.

IT was a fun and a exacting trip. Everyone was a sleep in the car back.

It was the best trip EVER!!!

Market Day Reflections

What did you enjoy most about Market Day? EVERY ONE JUST HAVING FUN and selling face painting and jelly.

How well prepared was your group? My group was ok we didnt have all the market day product until the last da because we were unorganised with our time.

How popular do you think your product was? I think that we could have made a few changes with our product like make more product like more jelly games. It wasnt appealing because the teacher’s didnt want to get their faces dirty.

What was your role in the group and how well did you fulfill your role? My role was to look after most of our product and keep everyone happy and telling them what we have.

Top Athletics

Every year we hold Athletics day for the whole school. We try to find the top athletics for 2010 to compete in the inter zone Athletics. There are many events for Athletics day like high jump,shot put,softball throw,discus,Javelin,and the 100m and 75m sprints.

I felt like I had a chance with the new sport Javelin because no one had practise for this sport and it look really easy. There was six spots and I wanted to be one of them. I sat and watch every person after person had there turn. I was last but some how my mates pushed me before them. I threw it and the wind blew through hair it felt real good. I came 4th “YaY” I said, but there were two left. Zane threw it and it went to 3rd place. I got pushed to 5th place and there was one person left. Moses step up to the mark and threw the Javelin which had won him 5th place. Sadly I got knocked out of the top 6.

High jump I was hoping that I would get in to the top 3. There was lots of competition but I still gave it a go. I miss the first one but I had one more chance I tried my best and … I made it yay. I jump up and down. I made it in the top 7 and I lost. NOOO I said but it was OK at least I tried my best and gave it a go..

Its a portable laptop and we are the only school in are cluster that has them. we
are just piloting it for the next four weeks and this we be fun.

This is the first time I have ever felt like sleeping after cross county and I'm mostly the one who wants to go for more. We had to run 3km per lap and I still had butterfly's from just watching. I don't want to put my body and mostly my legs throw that. This is some of the highlights.

What a day my legs felt like falling off, my arms felt like jelly but that was all in a days work if I want to make it in this year basketball team of 2010. I was amazed of how many boys want to be in it.

When we got to Tamaki College my Adrenalin went super fast I went all hypo but I had to keep my cool to make it. We started with a dribbling up and down the court but then came the hard bit. We had to do a drill called suacide its when we run up and down the court we run to the 10 m line then the 20 then half way then all the way I coundn't feel my legs after that run.

We had 4 teams two on the court first to score wins. We had lots of fun and wish me luck to get in the team.

Cyber coach was the best maybe even better then Jump Jam. Its combat hard work out for the men like me and it had some cheerleading for the girl. It really work up a sweat for Mrs Nua I have never seen a teacher dance that hard but she said it was her jeans.

Calling all NRL fans

Calling all NRL fans the game is on back for 2010. In the first round is with the Brisbane Broncos and the Brisbane Broncos this will be a good match. Then on Sunday my Boys the team who will take it out who will go all the way the Warriors. I think that this year will be the best ever!! for the great and powerful team. Warriors captain Simon Mannering will miss his sides' first game against the Gold Coast Titans Go all the way.

The best trip

Wow that was my best time ever in Australia!! This was my first time in the Gold Coast Australia and I got to get away from my mum and dad too. The reason I went to the Gold Coast was not to get away from my parents but to see my uncle, auntie and my cousin. I was so happy when I got of the plane I was so relieved that I got to stand up after that long plane ride . When I saw my cousin he walk straight past me but when I yelled out Leari!! he ran to me and gave me a big hug and my auntie give me a hug and a kiss on the cheek too.

On the car ride back home my auntie told us what was in Australia and and gave us a few safety tips, for example these snakes (called "Hunters") that only came out at night would come and bite you so you would have to make a lot of noise to scare it away.

After a good night sleep we went out to our first amusement park and it was the famous "Movie World". We were so excited that we couldn't wait but there was a long line so we had to wait. When I got inside my jaw just dropped because I was so amazed at how fun-looking and huge the rides were. My favouite ride was the ride called "Lethal Weapon", you hang from a Harness and your legs dangle from a moster like roller coaster. That was a fun day!!!!

I had so much fun (in Australia) that the time I had spent there felt too short!! I miss my family in Australia a lot!!

I will like to tell you all about how I love being a Tectonics!
We get to present to all the visitors who come to Pt England School. We present to some of the top people in New Zealand, like the prime minster himself. My role in the team is technical support. I make sure the Keynote presentation is set up and I run it for my 5 friends while they talk about eLearning. I had a lot of fun with my friends doing this. Sometimes there are problems but we get through them.

Little pink riding hood

Filming the Prime Minister

On Thursday four of Pt England school's students went to Ruapotaka Marae to meet the Prime Minster, John Key. It would have been one of the most biggest things I have ever been in or at.

When we got there I saw lots of press all trying to find John Key. We wanted to talk to him about raising the mind ware in our community. For the people who don't known mind ware means, it is making the right choices.

When we were in the marae there was a haka going outside for the Prime Minister. When he came into the marae we all stood up and sang a waiata. Then some of the people talked in Maori and I know that everyone had a good time because everyone was laughing. Even the Prime Minister was having a good time!

Extinction of my dinosaur

This is my dinosaur and it weights about 12 tons and it lived in North America.
This is what I think about what happened to the Dinosaur and most of the people who were alive at the time . Can you guest what my dinosaur ate before it died? and what is it name.
I use the based of making a movie like working in Hyper studio 5 then you think what kind of dinosaur then you start by choosing 2 or more background. Then you think about what your topic about what happen or what you think and chunk it in a iMovie and you are done.

Dino day

Today we had a school day but it was not a normal day, it was a cool day - no it wasn't a cool day, it was a Dino day. Yes it was a Dino-rific day we got to go into groups not a room groups or table it was letters day! Everyone got into alphabetical order and went off. We had to go to Room12.

I didn't know what we had to do. Guess what- we had to dance. And for our warm up we had to do jump jam because its easier for the little kids. We had to do three jump jam songs and Miss Walters took the girls into one room and Ms Garden stayed with us. We had most of the juniors but it was OK. Ms Garden told us to get in 4 rows and there were 4 leaders up front who were us seniors.

Then we had to learn some moves. It's funny because Ms Garden taught us some crazy moves and she also told us a little story which comes with the moves. Then when we all finished the boys watched the girls and the girls watched us. The girls dances were so funny and good at the same time. But it wasn't fair because they had most of the seniors. Ms Garden told us to have fun and we did. Some of the girls laughed but we had lots of fun and that is all that matters. So keep dancing.
